BetRivers Launches Online Casino in West Virginia

Spread the Word:

On Monday, Rush Street Interactive launched its flagship brand and online casino platform, BetRivers.com, in the state of West Virginia. It is the state’s third online casino after only DraftKings and BetMGM. Following the launch, West Virginia is the fourth state where RSI operates its digital casino platform, after New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

Through BetRiver’s partnership with Century Casinos’ Mountaineer Park, West Virginians can now play a range of real money gaming options, including online slots and table games like roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, on the BetRivers site. BetRivers.com claims another exclusivity as the only online casino in the Mountain State where online gamblers can play free bingo games for extra chances to win prizes. Besides, according to the official news release, BetRivers.com follows its usual market tradition in West Virginia too by planning to update its site with fresh and exciting titles.

Second Largest Operator

According to Eilers & Krejcik, RSI was the second-largest casino operator in the US for the fourth quarter and full-year 2020. In addition to its online casino operations in four states, Rush Street also operates online sportsbooks in eight states. The company also launches international operations through its digital casino and sports betting offerings in the country of Colombia.

Through Monday’s news release, RSI expressed gratitude by thanking the West Virginia Lottery Commission for its “trust and partnership,” and reiterated its determination to provide “West Virginians safe, convenient and enjoyable digital gaming for years to come from a brand they can trust.” The president of RSI, Richard Schwartz, also said “We are very pleased to officially launch BetRivers.com in West Virginia and show players why we are the #1 online casino site in neighboring Pennsylvania. BetRivers.com has been successful in developing deep player loyalty due to the focus we place on the online casino player and creating unique and exciting game play experiences for our customers.”

What’s On Offer?

BetRivers is known for its plethora of high-quality online casino games from some of the world’s top game developers. This includes online slot machines and a vast selection of table games. Following its launch, these are now all available for West Virginians, along with other free games and more niche categories. BetRivers will continually update the games available on the site to provide fresh content and the same robust library of games it is known for in other states.

West Virginians will also have access to BetRivers’s loyalty program, which the company claims its core approach to earn and retain player trust. It allows customers to redeem their online loyalty points for the chance to win extra prizes through bonus games such as online scratch cards, bonus bingo, and wheel spins.

The company incorporated most player-centric features in the BetRivers online casino app, including one-time wagering requirements, automated cash-out approvals, low default bet settings, real-time bonusing community chat, and more.

West Virginia’s iGaming Industry

Online casinos were legalized in West Virginia in March 2019, with the online casino market launching less than a year ago in July 2020 with DraftKings through its partnership with Hollywood Casino. In August 2020, BetMGM Casino joined the party through its association with the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs. A month later, NetEnt joined hands with BetMGM to offer its online slot games in the Mountain State.

Indeed, BetRivers.com would be the third online casino to launch and a valuable addition to a potential market that has a lot to offer.
