Tuesday unveiled another exciting partnership between the sportsbook DraftKings and the sports media group Bleacher Report. Both the entities have joined together to host a proprietary Super Bowl bets reveal show on the Bleacher Report app, B/R Betting. The proposed show called B/R Drop Zone: DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal will stream live on January 25 at 6 PM ET, hours after the NFL Conference Championship games.

B/R Drop Zone: DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal is an original concept show that will air simultaneously on the B/R Betting mobile app and across the Bleacher Report YouTube, and Twitter channels. The show will feature 40 different props across five categories with special appearances of celebrity influencers and industry experts such as Kelly Stewart, Johnny Avello, and Chad Ochocinco who will share insights on betting associated with the Big Game. Bleacher Report’s Cabbie Richards and Greg Ivor will host the program.

DraftKings & Turner Sports Partnership

The show’s creation stems from a recent deal between DraftKings and Turner Sports, which made the Boston-based company the exclusive online sports betting and daily fantasy sports provider for particular Turner Sports and Bleacher Reports properties, which did not include NBA programming.

Under the agreement, DraftKings was to provide sports betting information and daily fantasy contents across Bleacher Report digital channels, including the B/R Betting app. The planned integrations included customer content segments, in addition to the digital sportsbook company’s betting odds and daily fantasy statistics, personalized automated alerts, original content, and editorial across Bleacher Report channels. The new show is a great and welcome addition to the partnership, aiming to engage for sports enthusiasts and increase enjoyment when betting on DraftKings sportsbook.

Super Bowl Betting

Undoubtedly, Super Bowl remains one of the most popular sports to wager on in the US. DraftKings North America’s co-founder and president Matt Kalish said that much has changed for the company over the years, “but the Super Bowl is always an iconic sports moment where DraftKings continues to scale with fresh offerings and experiences like this revealing show alongside Bleacher Report.”

He said prop betting is already a renowned product for the NFL championship, which draws all types of fans. So, showcasing these markets with the Bleacher Report network for the first time helps increase DraftKings’ offerings in 2021.

According to the American Gaming Association, nearly 26 million Americans wagered almost $7 billion on Super Bowl last year. Every fourth person who watched the Super Bowl also wagered on the Big Game. The numbers are expected to increase in the coming years as more states legalize sports betting. In addition, Super Bowl prop betting has become the hallmark of the Big Game, and the prop betting market has grown into various betting markets from game props, player props, half-time props, commercial props, etc.

A Strong Move for Both

During the 2020 NFL season, Bleacher Report saw a lot of engagement around football wagering. Its betting platform, B/R Betting, was the most engaged social media account for sports wagering. According to Bleacher Report, the platform witnessed a 46% rise across its channels, with as many as 23 million visitors stopping by on the Bleacher Report app and website. Therefore, it is clean crafting this original show is a wise move for both entities and will see business boom.

Overall, DraftKings will be providing over 200 prop betting markets for the Super Bowl. DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal will launch several offers across different categories, including Player Props, Quick Hitters, Exotic Props, Over Unders, and Yes-No Pops. In addition, the sportsbook is also extending a $55 Million Super Bowl Prediction Challenge, a free-to-play pool that unveils random rewards of up to $25,000.  The winner of the pool will take home a whopping $1 million.
