Nation’s Largest in-Stadium Sportsbook Opens at Chase Field

Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field in Downtown Phoenix is now the largest in-stadium sportsbook in the US following this week’s opening.
The opening of the two-story, 22,300-square-foot sportsbook is the culmination of the partnership struck last May between the Nevada-based company and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Both entities inked a deal to launch mobile sports betting in Arizona and build a first-class sportsbook and bar on the site adjacent to the Phoenix-based baseball team’s home, Chase Field.
Arizona launched its retail and mobile sports betting industry in September, and the state’s operators have been reporting decent handles ever since.
What Does the Nation’s Largest In-Stadium Sportsbook Feature?
According to the news release, the new sportsbook and full-service restaurant would be a novel experience for the US sports bettors. The nation’s largest in-stadium sportsbook features as many as nine betting windows and 13 self-service betting kiosks.
The Arizonians will also experience wall-to-wall flatscreens TVs, patio space, and table and plush lounge-style seating on both floors with a capacity of at least 425.
You can also enjoy private space available to rent.
An inaugural event was held on June 21, featuring ceremonial first bets and a first bite sampling of menu items, and a donation by Caesars to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.
Guy Fieri’s Kitchen Coming to Caesars Sportsbook
The D-backs are thrilled to announce the opening of Guy Fieri’s Kitchen at Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field. The renowned restauranteur has now made his restaurant inside the largest in-stadium sportsbook in the nation.
Caesars Sportsbook is at the location formerly known as Game 7 Grill on the Plaza at Chase Field. Fiery, the Emmy Award-winning television presenter, co-owns three restaurants in California and licenses his name to restaurants in New York City and Las Vegas.
In 2010, the New York Times reported that the Ohio-based restauranteur became the “face of the network” and that his prime-time shows pull more male viewers than any others on the network.
Fiery has featured more than 30 Arizona locations on his TV series, and his new delivery-only restaurant chain has many locations throughout the valley.
However, Chase Field’s venue will be the restauranteur’s first in-person sit-down restaurant in the Copper State.
Commenting on the idea of bringing Fieri’s Kitchen to the nation’s largest in-stadium sportsbook, Fieri said it was a no-brainer for him as he had worked with the Caesars team for nearly a decade opening restaurants all over the country.
“They are the best of the best,” Fieri said and expressed gratitude for the D-backs and Caesars for making it happen.
In-Stadium Sportsbooks, A New Trend in US Sports Betting
In-stadium sportsbooks have become a new trend in US sports betting, which has grown unprecedentedly since the PASPA ruling in 2018. Earlier this January, BetMGM Sportsbook became the first operational retail sportsbook at a Major League Baseball Park following an agreement between the sportsbook and the Washington Nationals.
For many professional teams, sports wagering has become a great way to enhance fan engagement and counterbalance the shrinking share of in-stadium revenue in recent years.
In the last two years, dozens of pro sports teams and venues have inked deals with sports betting operators to offer mobile and retail wagering into the game-day experience.
In-stadium sports betting deals usually involve a sponsorship partnership between the sports betting operators to transform a specific venue of the stadium into a dedicated lounge for fans to watch sports on television.
The professional sports teams, which have invested for decades in growing revenue streams, have found a great way in in-stadium sportsbooks in recent years.
