Rapper Blueface Arrested in Las Vegas, Faces Robbery Charges

Spread the Word:

Los Angeles-based rapper Blueface (pictured) was arrested on Wednesday in Las Vegas. It was his second arrest in that city in just eight months.

Johnathan Jamall Porter, 26, alias Blueface, was previously booked on attempted murder charges in November 2022. That came after a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club. He was released on bail for those charges.

Porter was arrested again this week as he attended a city courthouse hearing on his existing case.

Las Vegas police said he was involved in an altercation at The Palms Casino and Resort on May 29, an incident which allegedly ended in an assault and the robbery of a woman’s cell phone.

The viral rapper has five million monthly listeners on Spotify, including 166 million streams for his 2019 hit, “Thotania”.

“F***k Blueface”

The latest incident involving Porter was detailed in an arrest report obtained by 3News KSNV.

The confrontation reportedly began when a woman approached the rapper and his long-term girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, as they entered the Palms Casino.

The woman asked to film the couple, and they obliged at first. Until, the woman claims, she said, “F***k Blueface. Congratulations on the baby. It’s all about you,” and began to focus her filming on Rock.

The police report claims that Rock then punched the victim before Porter took her phone and went to leave the casino floor.

The woman and her sister followed Porter and his entourage for a while before she managed to grab her phone back.

That’s when, according to surveillance footage obtained by police, Porter punched and kicked the woman, before casino security got involved to break things up.

Porter and his group then exited for the casino car park, where they got into a Dodge Charger and left the premises.

“We are hopeful we can quickly resolve this for him to everyone’s satisfaction, along with his current charges,” Porter’s attorney, Kristina Wildeveld, told the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Prior Charges

Blueface and Las Vegas Police have some prior history. Porter was arrested in November 2022 following an October incident outside Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club off the Las Vegas strip.

The victim, identified as Kentabius Traylor, saw the rapper outside the club and made a joke about his “cheap vehicle”.

Porter and his crew took offense and beat Traylor, who then took off in his truck. When he returned a short while after, police say Porter shot at Traylor.

He was not seriously injured, but suffered bullet grazes.

The strip club where the incident happened has since closed. Its former owners have filed a lawsuit against Porter, claiming that his behavior led to the suspension of the club’s license.

Porter also has a string of other criminal charges on his record. In 2018, he was arrested by New York police on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and in 2019, he was arrested on gun possession charges in California.

As of today, Porter has been released on $20,000 bail for the new robbery charges.

He will be back in a Las Vegas Court later this week on those charges, and then again next Wednesday for the previous attempted murder case.
