PartyCasino is a licensed and regulated online casino available to players in New Jersey. The casino is managed by GVC Holdings PLC, the e-gaming operator that also operates poker sites, online bingo rooms, and sportsbooks overseas.

After withdrawing from the US market, PartyGaming made a triumphant return when New Jersey legalized online gaming. And with a land-based partner in the shape of Borgata, PartyCasino is well placed to become one of the Garden State’s most popular gaming sites.

PartyCasino NJ Welcome Bonus

PartyCasino offers new sign-ups the chance to double their first deposit. The welcome bonus is fairly standard for New Jersey. Moreover, wagering requirements of 35x apply to the bonus, which is around average when comparing the rollover at all US online casinos. So, while the offer is decent, it is nothing special.

The welcome offer itself is split into three deposits. The first deposit is matched 100% up to $200, while the second deposit is matched 100% up to $150. If you successfully meet the requirements for the first two stages, you can get a match worth 100% up to $150 on your third deposit.

Probably the best aspect of the PartyCasino NJ welcome bonus is the minimum deposit amount, which allows players to take advantage of the offer with just $10. However, the max deposit of $500 is low compared to rival online casinos. If you’re a high roller, you might want to check out our other online casino reviews to find more appropriate site for your budget.

Who Can Play at Party Casino Online?

Players who are physically located within NJ borders can sign in and enjoy games at PartyCasino, provided they are at least 21 years of age. This is the minimum gambling age for most types of iGaming in the US.

It is possible to access your account outside of New Jersey. However, you must be physically located within the state to place real-money wagers. PartyCasino uses geolocation software to ensure you are in New Jersey when you attempt to play. This software sometimes fails if you are using a VPN, and on occasion, you may have problems logging on and playing if you are too close to the state border.

PartyCasino Browser-Based Casino Software

PartyCasino NJ moved to a standalone platform in 2018. So how does the new version of the software stand up a year later?

The new client is a definite improvement over the original software that was available to overseas players before 2018. There’s no need to download software to your desktop and you can access your account through a standard web browser.

You can access games via a series of easy-to-use tabs in the lobby. The ‘My Account’ tab is one of Party’s strong points. You are able to clearly see any promotions and bonus offers you have running, as well as any current cashback amounts.

PartyCasino Smartphone Application

Like most of the best online casinos for real money, PartyCasino has an app just for iOS customers, available for download in the App Store. Unfortunately, there is still no app for Android players, and the iOS application has a long way to go before it becomes one of the best real money casinos apps for Americans.

Firstly, the mobile game selection on the iOS app is relatively poor compared to other NJ casinos. There are about 20 regular slots adapted for mobile use, including Larry in Egypt, Palladium, and Juicy Monsters. There are a dozen progressives in the mobile client, which is nice to see, but still an overall lack of mobile slot games.

Oddly, however, there is an impressive variety of blackjack games available on mobile iOS devices (six in total, including Blackjack Charlie 7) and roulette. You can play 3D European Roulette or 3D American Roulette on your smartphone from $0.10 a spin.

Games at PartyCasino

You can play over 250 slots and online table games at PartyCasino. Many games are exclusive to the Party brand, but others can also be found at sister sites like Borgata Casino. While you’re there, look out for one of the best ranges of online progressive jackpots in New Jersey.

Online Slots

There are approximately 200 online slots at PartyNJ. Many of the best titles are supplied by IGT, like Super MONOPOLY Money, Siberian Storm Dual Play, and Cleopatra, but Scandinavian developer NetEnt also provides a selection of titles.

Fan favorites like Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest sit alongside exclusive games from bwin.party like Loot’EnKhamun. In fact, there are half a dozen bwin.party progressives that share a linked jackpot.

Featured Slots:

  • Loot’enkhamum (bwin.party)
  • Wild-O-Tron 2000 (NetEnt)
  • Gonzo’s Quest (NetEnt)
  • Cleopatra (IGT)
  • Quick Hit Platinum (Bally)
  • Zeus III (WMS)

Online Video Poker

IGT and Spin Games provide the majority of PartyNJ’s video poker games. Jacks or Better, Double Bonus Poker, and Jester Poker will be familiar to most online casino players in New Jersey.

You can also opt for Ultimate X Five Play Draw Poker which lets you play up to nine video poker paytables in the same game.

Online Blackjack

PartyCasino has around a dozen blackjack variations for desktop and mobile users. There are both micro-limit and high-limit variants available, as well as interesting games like Blackjack Xchange where you can choose to swap cards between hands.

You can’t always find Win-Win Blackjack by IGT at NJ casinos, but PartyCasino has it and it’s worth checking out. The game features a fun bonus option which can turn a bust hand into a winner.

Featured Games:

  • Vegas Blackjack
  • Win-Win Blackjack
  • Blackjack Xchange
  • Sidebet Blackjack
  • Multi-hand Blackjack
  • Single-deck Blackjack

Online Roulette

You will be well served at Party if you’d like a spin on the Devil’s Wheel. American Roulette and European Roulette are available starting at $0.10 a spin. Variants like Double Bonus Spin Roulette are available at most good NJ sites, and now PartyCasino has it too.

The game has two wheel rims instead of the usual one, and there are special yellow pockets which carry bonus jackpots. The mobile-friendly Luck O’ The Roulette game works like regular roulette, but there are 10 special win multipliers which can be won at random on any spin.

Featured Games:

  • American Roulette
  • American Roulette Pro
  • European Roulette
  • European Roulette Pro
  • Double Bonus Spin Roulette
  • Luck O’ The Roulette

Other Games

In addition to slots and table games, PartyCasino has an impressive range of Slingo games. Slingo is a strange mix of slots and bingo and is available for real money at the best NJ casinos.

PartyNJ has eight Slingo variants, including the brand tie-in Deal or No Deal Slingo and Slingo Reel Extreme.

Dig deep enough in the games lobby and you will find a single Craps variant plus Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker and Casino Hold’em.

The live casino has just five games, which is disappointing considering PartyCasino’s collaboration with Borgata. There are five American Blackjack tables, three live roulette tables, plus live baccarat, live Casino Hold’em, and live Unlimited Blackjack with the Perfect Pairs side bet.

VIP Program and Cashback at PartyCasino

PartyCasino NJ players can earn loyalty points and cashback as soon as they sign up and start playing. Just look for the ‘Cashback’ section in your account.

Jackpot slots offer the best cashback rates of 0.5%, but the 0.25% cashback on regular slots and instant win games is a touch lower than rival NJ casinos. Roulette (0.10%) and blackjack/video poker (0.05%) bring up the rear. Be wary, though; if you don’t play on the PartyNJ site for 90 days consecutively, your cashback will be forfeited.

You can earn loyalty points for playing slots and table games. You will earn 1 Loyalty Point for $25 bet on slots, $150 on roulette and live dealer games, and $250 on any blackjack games.

There are four basic levels in the PartyCasino VIP program: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Palladium. You can only redeem points for real cash once you reach the Gold level, which puts Party way behind other NJ casinos.

Deposit Options at PartyNJ

There is a good range of deposit methods available at PartyCasino. Players not only have the chance to use their US Visa or MasterCard, but they can also make deposits using a Skrill e-Wallet. However, Skrill is currently the only e-Wallet accepted at PartyCasino. NETELLER exited the US gaming market in June 2019.

PartyNJ is one of the safest online casinos, using 128-bit SSL encryption on all payments to ensure your security. As one of the best credit card casinos, PartyNJ also supports Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. This means that, if you use Visa or MasterCard, you may have to enter additional security passwords.

Unfortunately, like most Visa card casinos, PartyNJ players are still experiencing a certain level of declined payments via credit and debit card. The Borgata Play+ and Party Play+ prepaid cards are a good alternative. You can load your card using a bank card or eCheck, but you’ll need to have a valid Social Security Number to proceed.

Thanks to partnership with Borgata, you also have the option of depositing in person at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. You can deposit $10-$10,000 at the Borgata Casino Cage. The only payment option that is missing is crypto. If you want to deposit using Bitcoin and other altcoins, check out the best crypto casinos here instead.

Deposit methods:

  • MasterCard
  • VISA
  • Skrill
  • Borgata casino cashier
  • PayNearMe
  • Borgata Play+
  • Online bank transfer
  • Party Play+
  • VIP Preferred/ACH

Withdrawal Options at PartyNJ

Under current regulations, you won’t be able to withdraw your PartyCasino funds using VISA or MasterCard. However, you can still request a cashout via Skrill or Bank Transfer. To withdraw using an e-Wallet you must show that you have used it to make a deposit within the previous 180 days.

The internal review process at PartyNJ is slow, at 5 working days. You then have to factor in a day or two extra for distribution, which is a clear drawback. If you want quicker withdrawals, check out these fastest payout casinos instead.

Withdrawal methods:

  • Skrill
  • VIP Preferred/ACH

Customer Support at PartyCasino

PartyNJ has 24-hour customer support available 7 days a week. We found that email queries were swiftly  addressed and the phone service was friendly and knowledgeable, particularly on security issues.

PartyNJ History Overview

PartyCasino has had a presence in New Jersey since the early days of legalized online gambling in the state, making it one of the most trusted online casinos. However, New Jersey players didn’t get a taste of the new casino client until 2018.

By the time it launched in NJ, PartyGaming had already merged with Bwin Interactive Entertainment. Bwin.Party also operates a successful online poker room and sportsbook in New Jersey. However, Bwin.Party was itself taken over by GVC Holdings in 2016, who continue to lead all of the companies online operations.

Under state gambling laws, online casinos must have partnerships with existing land-based operators. PartyCasino found a home with Atlantic City’s Borgata. The casino operates under the Borgata gaming license, alongside sites like PlayMGM, PalaCasino, and Scores Casino. Borgata also runs its own online casino under the same license.

Partypoker NJ Review

Partypoker NJ is an online poker site that’s available to residents and visitors of New Jersey. It’s owned by GVC Holdings and is licensed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).

Partypoker has been one of the most-prominent Internet poker brands since the early 2000s. It launched in New Jersey in 2013 after signing a deal with the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

This deal is notable because it has spawned a network that includes three different sites. Partypoker NJ, Borgata Poker, and PlayMGM all run on the same network.

Unfortunately, this alliance has not produced enough traffic to overtake PokerStars NJ or the WSOP/888 network, which are the market leaders. Despite the low traffic, partypoker is still worth considering due to its rewards and brand recognition.

Getting Started at Partypoker NJ

Partypoker is similar to other New Jersey poker sites when it comes to account registration and downloading the desktop client. However, they differ with regard to their mobile download.

Desktop Client

The desktop software is essential for playing on a PC or Mac. After completing the download, you must register for an account before proceeding any further on the software.

Players are prompted to enter basic details, like name, address, username, and password. In addition, players must agree to the site’s terms and conditions during registration.

Partypoker NJ App

Most of the New Jersey online poker market lets you download apps regardless of your location. However, partypoker requires you to be within state lines simply to get the app.

As long as you’re in the Garden State, you shouldn’t have any trouble with the actual download. You can get the Android app directly from the site, and you’ll find the iOS version in the App Store.

Age and Geo-location Considerations

The DGE requires all online poker players to be at least 21 years of age. Partypoker asks you to confirm that you’re 21 or older when agreeing to the site’s terms and conditions.

You can enjoy play-money games on a desktop PC/Mac regardless of your location. However, you must be within state boundaries to play for real money.

Partypoker employs geo-location technology to verify your location. Geo-location uses the Wi-Fi connection on your phone, tablet, or computer to pinpoint your position.

Partypoker NJ Signup Bonus

Players are eligible for both a no-deposit bonus and deposit bonus after signing up at partypoker. There are plenty of other promotions, too.

Partypoker No-Deposit Bonus

You receive a $25 no-deposit bonus after successfully registering for an account. This offer is split into the following parts:

  • $10 for cash games and FastForward
  • $10 for online casino games
  • $5 in poker-tournament tickets

The $10 in casino funds is not ideal if you’re strictly focused on poker. Despite this drawback, partypoker’s no-deposit offer is still among the best in the market.

Deposit Bonus

Your first deposit is eligible for a 100% match bonus worth up to $1,000. The bonus is paid out in 10 equal parts as you collect points in casino and/or poker games.

You earn $1 of the bonus for every 4 points earned through poker or 8 points through the casino. The process of earning points is explained in the loyalty section of this review.

Other Promotions

Partypoker is near the top of its class in terms of promotions. They offer weekly reload bonuses, sit & go (SNG) leaderboards, and random prizes.

Other internet poker rooms in New Jersey only have 1-2 promos beyond the signup bonus and VIP rewards. Therefore, partypoker stands out, if only due to the number of their offers.

Loyalty Program

The partypoker loyalty plan offers cashback and free tournament tickets. Exchange the points earned through poker and casino games for cashback.

This program has four tiers, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Here are the different levels, requirements, and rewards at each level.

  • Bronze: automatic enrollment / 6.7% cashback / $5 in tournament tickets
  • Silver: 50 points per month / 15.4% cashback / $215 in tournament tickets
  • Gold: 750 points per month / 20.5% cashback / $215 in tournament tickets
  • Platinum: 2,000 points per month / 30.7% cashback / $215 in tournament tickets

The loyalty page does not explain if the tourney tickets are a one-time deal or awarded every month.

Players earn 1 point for every $2 contributed in either tournament or cash-game rake. As seen above, the cashback rate for these points increases as players move up the loyalty ladder.

By comparison, partypoker does a better job of rewarding players in the middle VIP tiers than other NJ sites. However, the top cashback rate of 30.7% is lower than average.

Partypoker NJ Games and Traffic

The Partypoker network has the lowest traffic of any online poker site in the state. It draws just over 100 cash players at peak hours, while traffic can fall below 25 players during non-peak times.

Sites have had a rough time growing because they are limited to New Jersey, given the absence of regulated federal online poker. Partypoker has especially struggled, which shows in their limited cash-game and tournament traffic.

Despite the low amount of customers, this site still offers a wider variety of games than most NJ poker rooms. They feature Texas hold’em, Omaha, and Stud.

Cash Hames

Partypoker NJ’s cash games include fixed-limit and no-limit hold’em, PL Omaha, and fixed-limit Stud. Hold’em definitely draws the bulk of the action, while the other variations have virtually nonexistent traffic.

Hold’em

NL hold’em tables are offered at stakes ranging from $0.01/$0.02 to $5/$10. We were surprised to see some mid-stakes games running, considering the lack of overall traffic.

The bulk of the action takes place at limits between $0.01/$0.02 and $0.25/$0.50, so, you should find partypoker to be an acceptable site if you’re a micro-stakes hold’em player.

PL Omaha and FL Stud

We grouped these two games together because they had absolutely no action during our review.

In contrast to the more-trafficked WSOP/888 network, partypoker is willing to offer games outside of hold’em. However, they don’t have a large enough player base to support the extra variations.

Tournaments at PartyPoker

Tournaments are the main reason to play at partypoker, as this site features a broad range of freerolls and guaranteed prize pools.

The Sunday $35,000 guaranteed is the headliner. It requires a lofty $215 buy-in, but also features a number of feeder satellites during the week.

There are plenty of small freerolls run on a daily basis, and you can also look forward to bounty, deepstack, six-max, and turbo events.

Other Types of Games at PartyPoker NJ

Other poker options offered here include FastForward and SNGs. Here’s more on what to expect from each category.

FastForward

FastForward moves you to a different cash-game table when your action in a hand is dead. The idea is to keep you from waiting on hands to finish after you’ve already folded.

You’re entered into a pool of players after joining FastForward; this pool allows you to keep trading tables when your hand is finished.

This style of poker offers more action and entertainment than a standard cash game. The only problem is that the FastForward tables attract very few players.

Sit & Go’s

Partypoker offers NL hold’em and PL Omaha SNGs, with buy-ins ranging from $1 to $200. Both types of SNGs draw players, although the hold’em tourneys are definitely more popular.

Most of partypoker’s SNGs run from $1 to $10 stakes. However, we did see a few active tables between $20 and $100 buy-ins.

Partypoker NJ Deposit Methods

This poker room accepts payments through bank transfers, credit cards, e-checks, e-wallets, and in-person deposits. Below, you can see advice on each of these options.

  • Bank transfer – A bank transfer is an easy way to fund your account. However, this method requires higher fees than an e-check.
  • Cash at the Cage – You can visit the Borgata and make an in-person deposit at the cage. The obvious drawback is that you must spend time physically traveling to Atlantic City.
  • Discover Card, Mastercard, Visa – These credit cards are the fastest way to fund your partypoker NJ account. However, each card rejects poker deposits on occasion.
  • E-check – Send money from your bank account directly to partypoker. The only problem is that e-checks take longer to clear than any other listed method.
  • Pay with Cash – Make an in-person deposit at your local 7-Eleven. This option is only convenient if you frequent 7-Eleven.
  • Skrill – A trusted e-wallet that lets you send money to partypoker. Skrill is our top pick due to its convenience and fairly quick transactions.

Cashout Options

Only a few of the deposit methods double as a withdrawal option. Here are the limited ways that you can cash out from partypoker NJ:

  • Cash at the Cage – You can pick up your payment from the Borgata. Again, this option is inconvenient if you’re not already planning an Atlantic City trip.
  • E-check – Move funds from partypoker to your bank account. You may have to wait up to seven days for the e-check to clear.
  • Skrill – You’ll normally get your money within one business day or less with Skrill. However, fees can be as much as 3% of the total amount.

Customer Support

Similar to other New Jersey sites, partypoker only offers email support. The entire state has missed the mark by not also providing the more-convenient live chat.

The website features an FAQ section that should cover most of the questions and issues you may encounter. Main topics that are covered include accounts, cashier, rewards, technical questions, and general poker subjects.

Final Verdict

Partypoker NJ has made a strong effort to serve players so far. They offer good promotions, a generous welcome bonus, and solid game variety.

Unfortunately, the site is held back by New Jersey’s overall lack of traffic. Partypoker’s cash and tournament traffic suffers greatly as a result.

This poker room is ideal if you’re a micro-stakes player who wants quality bonuses and VIP rewards. However, it’s not the best choice if you’re looking for mid or high-stakes play and/or full tables beyond Texas hold’em.
