Genius Sports Group announced Tuesday a multi-year partnership with WynnBET, Wynn Resorts’ digital sportsbook brand in the United States. Under the agreement, WynnBET consumers across New Jersey, Colorado, and Michigan will be able to enjoy improved in-play markets, thanks to Genius Sports’ LiveData and LiveTrading services. As WynnBET’s other launches in more states are underway, the deal will expand to future markets.
Details of the Deal
Genius Sports and NASCAR have been sports betting partners since May 2019. The new partnership between WynnBET and the sports data and technology company includes Genius’s official NASCAR solution. The combination will enable the premium online sports betting company to provide more than 15 in-race bet types throughout the 2021 Cup Series, kicking off with the Daytona 500.
The new cooperation will also involve Genius’s official data content for hundreds of international basketball, soccer, table tennis, ice hockey, and volleyball federations and leagues. In addition, the deal will also cover the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, Euroleague, Liga MX, Basketball, and Argentine soccer.
Genius Sports Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Jack Davison said, “Along with its broad market-access and nationally-recognizable brand name, Genius is an ideal partner to enhance WynnBET’s expanding online sportsbook and in-game betting offering. With growing numbers of states introducing online betting regulation, in-game handle is quickly rising – and WynnBET recognizes the direct engagement and revenue benefits of official data in this landscape.”

However, dMY II shareholders have yet to approve the deal.
WynnBET’s Expansionist Agenda
It is difficult to survive in the world of DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM, but that is what WynnBET has been doing. Following the conditional access to Tennessee’s online-only market, Wynn Resort’s digital face has market access in nine states. Besides running online operations in New Jersey, Michigan, and Colorado, WynnBET has forged deals to launch in Nevada, Indiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, and now Tennessee. The sportsbook app is also seeking a license in the newly launched Virginia market.
Furthermore, WynnBET has agreed to multiple partnership deals recently. Last October, the operator was named an official betting partner of NASCAR. More recently, WynnBET inked a deal to become the official digital sportsbook for Richmond Raceway and Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. WynnBET then struck a deal with Memphis Grizzlies in a multi-year partnership to land in the Tennessee sports betting market.
