Caesars Palace Online Casino Launches in Four States

Spread the Word:

Caesars Entertainment, the global Las Vegas-based gambling operator, has unveiled its latest digital venture, the Caesars Palace Online Casino.

The new platform made its surprise debut this week, after a vague announcement in the company’s Q2 earnings call earlier this year.

Caesars Palace Online is now available as a mobile app and a desktop site to players 21 years or older in the regulated U.S. online casino markets of Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The app will supersede the casino section of the Caesars Sportsbook app for players in the newly launched states. It aims to bring the grandeur and excitement of Caesars Entertainment’s famous Las Vegas casino resorts to players across the U.S, including integration with the Caesars Rewards loyalty program.

“Players in North America deserve an online casino-first experience that treats them like royalty, and that’s what we’ve brought to market with Caesars Palace Online Casino,” said Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Head of iGaming at Caesars Digital, in a press release.

“With Caesars’ unrivaled brands, IP, talent, and casino destinations, we can offer our players a true omnichannel gaming experience.”

Iconic Branding

The Caesars Palace Online Casinos sees itself as an extension of the iconic Caesars brand, aiming to provide a seamless connection between the physical and digital.

One of the standout features of the launch is its integration with the Caesars Rewards loyalty program. This program, already popular among patrons of Caesars’ physical locations, allows users to earn rewards and benefits based on their online play. These rewards aren’t just digital tokens. They can be redeemed for real-world experiences at more than 50 Caesars destinations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Caesars Palace Online Casino also features exclusive Caesars-branded games, as well as the casino classics. For example, players can indulge in various forms of roulette, live dealer blackjack, baccarat, video poker, and progressive jackpot slots.

The online casino is set to complement Caesars’ existing iGaming portfolio, which includes Caesars Sportsbook, Tropicana Online Casino, Harrah’s Online Casino, and WSOP.COM.

The Bigger Picture

The launch of the Caesars Palace Online Casino is a significant move for Caesars Entertainment, as it makes sense to capitalize on the company’s biggest brand.

The Caesars Digital arm of the company, which will now also be in charge of Caesars Palace Online, recently posted its first profitable quarter after launching in 2021.

The integration of the Caesars Rewards loyalty program into the online platform will also trade on the name recognition of Caesars’ properties across the U.S.

The operator currently runs several different casino brands, including Harrah’s, and is also the biggest landlord on the Las Vegas Strip via its VICI Properties real estate spin-off.

However, Caesars remains it biggest and most popular draw, from the Sportsbook to its Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos, so it makes sense to have launched a standalone online offering.

The new online casino is also built on its own proprietary platform. Caesars Sportsbook meanwhile (as is usual with sportsbooks) has had to sign multiple deals for sports data access and other operational concerns.

On the other hand, Caesars Sportsbook has not exactly hit the top heights of U.S. sports betting, even with its brand recognition and the head start it got after purchasing and rebranding from William Hill.

Nationally, it has struggled to keep up with FanDuel or DraftKings. In most state markets, it has had to settle for leading the rest of the pack alongside BetMGM.

The Caesars Palace Online Casino is looking to play on the company’s strengths in a smaller market where it has authority branding.

“Our newly developed Caesars online gaming platform and bonus engine perfectly tie online casino play and rewards to the world class experiences that players can only enjoy at our many Caesars destinations nationwide,” said Sunderland.
