Circa Sports’ Silverton Casino Sportsbook Details Revealed Ahead of January Launch
In the latest expansion of its sports betting footprint, Nevada-based operator Circa Sports has revealed new details for its upcoming sportsbook at the Silverton Casino Lodge in Las Vegas.
This development marks Circa Sports’ fifth Nevada retail sports betting location, and its first in the southwest area of Las Vegas.
The Circa Sportsbook at the Silverton is set to commence operations with a temporary facility on January 1, 2024. It aims to be fully operational by March, so it can offer basketball betting on the popular NCAA men’s basketball “March Madness” collegiate tournament.
“As a Vegas-born venture, Circa Sports is thrilled to be working with a beloved local property like Silverton to launch our first southwest Las Vegas book,” said Circa CEO Derek Stevens in a press release.
“Silverton has been an excellent partner in bringing this to life, and we look forward to introducing an easily accessible and visually stunning sports betting option to a new part of the city.”
Final Step in $40M Casino Renovation
The temporary sportsbook, operational from January 1, will be located next to Silverton’s Shady Grove Bar and Lounge. It includes two betting windows, two self-service betting kiosks, and four TV screens. However, the screens will only display odds – with live sports screens available at Shady Grove until the permanent Circa ‘book opens.
The permanent sportsbook will occupy a 1,600-square-foot space, conveniently next to the Silverton’s parking garage entrance.
The facility is designed to provide an immersive betting experience, featuring a Daktronics wall screen simultaneously showing multiple odds feeds and live sports games, as well as three betting windows and three self-service betting kiosks.
For seating, the ‘book will have 12 lounge chairs, six four-person tables, and four six-person booths. The venue will also include 22 bar top games, ensuring a comprehensive entertainment experience.
Opening hours are likely to be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. But that is not set in stone yet, according to the operator.
The introduction of the sportsbook is part of Silverton Casino Lodge’s recent $40 million overhaul, which means it is now offering 300 newly renovated rooms and suites.
In addition to the sportsbook, early 2024 will see the launch of a $10 million backyard and pool venue titled The Swimmin’ Hole, complete with poolside dining, sports screenings, cabanas, and fire pits.
“We are thrilled for Circa Sports to launch their best-in-class sportsbook at Silverton,” said Rob Kunkle, president of Silverton Casino.
“The new sportsbook will give our players one more reason to visit and frequent Silverton.”
Circa Sports’ Growth Continues
In recent years, Circa has established itself as a significant player among operators of Nevada casinos, mostly by virtue of its sports betting operation.
The operator runs what it says is the largest retail sportsbook location in the world at its flagship Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The massive sports betting venue has more than 30,000 square feet of space, which can comfortably seat 1,000 people, and a huge, three-story size video feed screen. It even comes complete with the new-for-2023 Sports Gambling Hall of Fame.
As well as that venue, it runs retail sportsbooks at the D Las Vegas, Tuscany Suites & Casino, The Pass Casino in Henderson, and the Legends Bay in Sparks.
Outside of Nevada, Circa also operates among Illinois retail sportsbooks, with a Circa Sports venue at the American Place Casino in Waukegan, and it offers online sports betting in Kentucky, Iowa, and Colorado.
That’s all without mentioning the annual Circa Survivor contest, a popular season-long football betting tournament with a multimillion prize pool.
Silverton Casino Lodge, set to be home to the newest Circa Sports venue in two weeks, is no small operation itself. It has 90,000 square feet of casino space and a 117,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, home to diverse marine life.
