FanDuel’s Free NBA League Pass Offer and Live Parlay Builder Have Begun
Leading U.S. sportsbook FanDuel has announced a new initiative that will provide fans with three months of access to the NBA League Pass. This offering coincides with the launch of a new feature for the FanDuel app known as ‘The Pulse.’
From October 19 through October 26, new and existing customers of FanDuel Sportsbook will be eligible to receive a complimentary three-month subscription to the NBA League Pass by placing a $5 bet. New customers will also bag $200 in bonus bets on signup.
As well as the free NBA streaming gift, FanDuel is also using this opportunity to launch ‘The Pulse’.
This new feature offers real-time markets that revolve around iconic NBA teams, players, and storylines. It allows fans to place live suggested bets on significant moments in NBA games without having to be an expert in betting on basketball before the game.
“FanDuel is committed to offering the top sportsbook product on the market and elevating the entertainment experience for fans this NBA season,” said Mike Raffensperger, chief commercial officer, FanDuel, in a press release.
NBA League Pass & Same Game Parlays
The NBA League Pass is a subscription-based service that offers fans access to live and on-demand NBA games, including out-of-market games that are not available on local or national television.
With the NBA League Pass, fans can watch games on various devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs. It costs between $14.99 a month for a standard subscription, or $30 a month for a premium service.
That means FanDuel customers can potentially get $90 worth of NBA streaming for just a $5 bet. However, some games are blacked out if you live within 30 miles of the stadium where they are being played.
This is not the first time FanDuel has offered free sports streaming subscriptions to betting fans. Just last month, ahead of the start of the NFL season, it offered $100 off “NFL Sunday Ticket” packages for new players interested in football betting.
As well as the NBA League Pass offer, FanDuel will simultaneously be introducing same game parlay bets on the upcoming NBA season. A similar feature, letting players build multi-stage parlay bets out of live, in-game bets, debuted for NFL games earlier this year.

FanDuel’s Expansion and Responsible Gaming
Earlier in 2023, FanDuel also became the Official Sportsbook Partner of the Canadian Football League (CFL), granting sports enthusiasts in Ontario the opportunity to place bets on CFL games. Other new betting markets also tempted the operator, such as a market for wagering on the Professional Pickleball Association.
In addition to this partnership with the NBA, last month FanDuel appointed athletes, including Carli Lloyd and Tom Kim, as Responsible Gaming Ambassadors. The campaign’s goal is to educate the public about responsible gambling limits, screen time notifications, and deposit and wager restrictions.
FanDuel’s rival, DraftKings, has also recently collaborated with the NBA on a line of official team merch, crossed with the DraftKings crown logo. Teams involved with the Boston-based sportsbook’s offer include the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and the L.A. Lakers.
