FanDuel’s ‘Up & Adams’ to See NFL Stars as Regular Guests on Season Two

Spread the Word:

FanDuel has amped up TV program Up & Adams for its second season, with current and former NFL stars set to join the weekly roster.

Hosted by the Emmy-winning Kay Adams, the show sees sports stars and personalities join Adams to discuss key issues of the week in U.S. sports and sports betting. For season 2, the lineup will be adding regular features from New York Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones and the San Francisco 49ers receiver/running back Deebo Samuel.

Legendary four-time Super Bowl-winning former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski will also be joining the show for a regular slot.

The leading U.S. online sportsbook, FanDuel has been heavily investing in its media arm since acquiring TVG last year.

“Here we go! Excited to grow the Up & Adams family, and I couldn’t be more grateful to my team and everyone at FanDuel for working so hard to bring the show to another level for season 2,” said Adams in a press release.

Engaging Fans Across Multiple Platforms

Up & Adams is broadcast to fans who have FanDuel TV in their cable package or those who have subscribed to FanDuel+.

However, it is now also streaming on YouTube, providing an interactive platform for viewers to engage with the host and her guests in real-time. For those who prefer audio content, a podcast version of the show is available.

Gronkowski, who has focused on being a larger-than-life media personality since retiring in 2021, seemed excited for his feature. The Patriots touchdown record-holder will be given his own hour on the show on Wednesdays.

“The people better get ready, because I have some hot takes I am ready to unload this year,” Gronkowski said.

“But you’ll have to tune in every Wednesday to hear them first!”

From Flagship to a Network Staple

A year ago, Up & Adams was the flagship program that marked the rebranding of TVG to FanDuel TV. FanDuel parent Flutter Entertainment has owned cable network TVG since 2008.

In July 2022, Ireland-based Flutter announced it planned to rebrand TVG as FanDuelTV and the network launched in late August that year.

Up & Adams was a big draw for the operator during its relaunch.

Today, it’s part of an expanding list of programs, as the network steps into its second year of broadcasting.

“In the past year, Kay has traveled the country to cover some of the most iconic events in sports, including Super Bowl LVII, the Kentucky Derby, the NFL Draft, and NFL training camps coast to coast,” said FanDuel Senior Director of Sports Programming Richard Isakow.

“We are excited to build on the success with even more unique access and opportunities.”

NFL and Sportsbooks Combine

FanDuel has also been upping its integration with the NFL over the past months. FanDuel customers will get a $100 discount on the YouTube-based Sunday Ticket, which lets subscribers view every Sunday game of the 2023/2024 NFL season.

However, this kind of integration showcased in the new series of Up & Adams might have a sting in the tail for some.

Featuring active star NFL players on a show and network basically all about sports betting could rankle fans and players from teams who have had multiple players suspended in 2023 for betting violations.

That clearly hasn’t stopped the deluge of such gambling collaborations shortly before the start of the NFL’s 23/24 season. Such moves include Bet MGM adding GameSense responsible gambling booths to football stadiums, and NFL-branded slot machines launched in collaboration with Aristocrat.
