The Hunt for Taylor Swift Super Bowl Props

Spread the Word:

If you are looking to get away from Taylor Swift, you need to look away from Super Bowl LVIII. The NFL is embracing its new legion of fans just as much as the Swifties have embraced Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Along with the regular lineup of Budweiser and Doritos commercials that you will see on Super Bowl Sunday, there will also be ads for L’Oreal’s NYX Professional Makeup, e.l.f. Cosmetics, and Dove.

L’Oreal is making its Super Bowl debut, as is e.l.f. Cosmetics. For Dove, this will be their first Super Bowl commercial in 18 years.

And as Taylor Swift affects the long-time tradition of Super Bowl ads, she is also front and center of another Super Bowl mainstay – the proposition bet.

Super Bowl Props, With a Twist

Every NFL weekend, there are proposition bets. How many touchdown passes for Quarterback X, and how many rushing yards for running back Y. They are some of the most popular bets offered by NFL online sportsbooks.

Since everything is much bigger on the biggest sports betting day of the year, so are the prop bet offerings. For the Super Bowl, you can wager on the coin toss, the length of the Star-Spangled Banner, and the color of the Gatorade that is dumped on the head of the winning coach. And now, for the first time, you can wager on one of the most famous women on the planet, Taylor Swift.

Even before the game begins, you can cash in on a Taylor sighting. BetUS.com is your source for all things Swift at the Super Bowl, and they are paying -165 that she will be shown during the National Anthem, which is being sung by Reba McEntire. But the oddsmakers think it will probably be just once that we see Swift. More than that and you’ll get +135.

It was in October that McEntire jokingly got mad at Swift, saying that she, too, had a crush on Kelce.

With an entire football game to be played after the anthem, including an elongated halftime, the opportunities to show Swift in her luxury box are many. Oddsmakers at BetUS.com have set the line at 5.5. The over is paying -165, and the under is at +120. It’s worth noting that she was shown seven times during the AFC Championship Game for a total of 44 seconds.

And if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, there is an entire series of bets on who might mention Swift from the podium during the post-game celebration. If it’s the MVP winner who mentions her (Nevada online sportsbooks currently have Patrick Mahomes as the favorite), the payout is +450. If it’s Chiefs head coach Andy Reid who mentions and thanks Swift, you get +650. And if the MVP is Travis Kelce, and he thanks her first, you’ll get +3000.

It’s worth knowing the current odds at Kansas online sportsbooks for a Kelce MVP win are +1500. A nod from Kelce to Swift in that scenario seems like a no-brainer, but it will only pay out if she’s first on his list of thank-you’s.

Where things get a little dicey on the odds board are with what we’ll call relationship props. Will Kelce propose marriage to Swift at the Super Bowl? If he does, you’re getting +1060 on the wager. Sadly, you won’t get a bigger payout if he drops on one knee and begins singing You Belong With Me.

Will Kelce and Swift announce a pregnancy at the Super Bowl? Amazingly, that actually pays less than a proposal. You’ll get +800 if the couple tells the world about imminent motherhood for the global pop star.

And just in case the winner of the game interests you more than if Taylor Swift is seen hugging Jason Kelce (+225 if it happens), Xbet.ag has the 49ers favored by two points.
