Caesars Inks WynnBET and Evolution Online Casino Deals

Spread the Word:

Caesars Digital, the online gambling arm of Nevada-based Caesars Entertainment, has signed two partnerships this week to expand its brand. The two deals will enhance its live dealer casino offering and allow it to enter the Michigan online casino market.

First, Caesars has signed a deal with leading live casino provider Evolution to expand its existing livestreamed casino table games and the slot titles it supplies to the Caesars online casino.

This will add unique Caesars-branded table games to existing Evolution studios in Michigan and Pennsylvania, as well as new games streamed live from a custom-built studio inside the Caesars’ Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City.

Secondly, the Nevada-based gambling giant also announced it will soon enter the nation’s second-largest online casino market in Michigan. Caesars will soon replace WynnBET in the state, taking up the closed WynnBET’s partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Live Casino Evolution

The new agreement is an extension of the partnership between Sweden-based global live dealer/online casino developer Evolution and Caesars.

Evolution has been supplying the Caesars Palace Online Casino App since it debuted last year in August.

As well as proprietary live casino titles, Evolution also owns popular slots developers NetEnt and Big Time Gaming, which can also be played at the Caesars online casino.

Earlier in 2024, the partnership debuted an official NFL-themed live dealer blackjack table, launched just a week before the Super Bowl for maximum football betting hype.

Under this new deal, Evolution will launch several new and exclusive Caesars-branded live casino titles.

Those will be streamed from existing live studios supplying New Jersey and Pennsylvania online casinos. It will also join the physical New Jersey casinos sector, with livestreamed tables from a custom-built studio inside Caesars Tropicana Atlantic City.

“Caesars’ expansion in the market is remarkable and noteworthy. When presented with the opportunity to launch our third live studio in Atlantic City, we knew Tropicana would be the ideal location,” said Evolution’s North American CEO Jacob Claesson in a press release.

“We’re impressed by Caesars’ dedication, and look forward to collaborating with them as they continue to expand their branded studio presence.”

Michigan Market Entrance

It has been a busy week for Caesars. Alongside the Evolution deal, it also announced its acquisition of WynnBET’s Michigan online casinos license.

Subject to regulatory approvals, Caesars Palace Online will launch later this year in Michigan.

Existing WynnBET customers’ accounts will be transferred over to the new Caesars platform.

The WynnBET license was issued in conjunction with the Sault Sainte Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Caesars will continue this partnership.

It’s possible that could also lead to new Caesars venues joining Michigan retail sportsbooks, as Caesars does not operate a physical Michigan casino, but does have a license for sports betting.

“As we continue to grow our iGaming franchise, the assumption of WynnBET’s iGaming operations in Michigan allows us to tap into a significant market and customer base, providing a crucial step forward in growing our digital products and offering players more ways to play,” said Matt Sunderland, Caesars Entertainment’s SVP & chief iGaming officer, in a press release.

“We are honored to work with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and look forward to growing with them in Michigan.”

Meanwhile WynnBET is now essentially a finished operation, at least for online betting. Alongside its now-confirmed departure in Michigan, it recently left the Massachusetts online sports betting market and also exited New York sports betting, where it sold its spot to ESPN Bet.

In 2023, WynnBET closed shop in eight states, despite months earlier debuting an upgraded app. WynnBET continues to operate retail sportsbooks in Nevada and Massachusetts, where parent Wynn Resorts has prominent physical casinos.
