The Venetian Las Vegas’ New High-Limit Gaming Lounge Opening End of September
The Palazzo casino floor at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas is set to introduce a luxurious high-limit gaming lounge on September 29. The property, already known for its opulent design choices, such as the Armillary Sphere in the main lobby (pictured), will be adding a sprawling 15,000 square feet of high-end gaming space to its repertoire of attractions.
Designed by the renowned Wimberly Interiors, the space will be split into two distinct zones. One will be dedicated to high limit table games, and the other to high-end popular slots. That will include multimillion progressive jackpot slots and a jackpot-linked live poker table.
“We designed our high-limit lounge with the sole focus of enhancing the player experience,” said Patrick Nichols, the president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
“We really wanted this lounge to be an elevated but not exclusive destination for our players and a statement of The Venetian Resort’s commitment to invest in our casino guests continually.”
Jackpots and Poker
For slot enthusiasts, the lounge will feature 67 brand-new slot machines. Some of these games come with jackpots that can be more than $2 million. That’s a tempting prize, but hardly the biggest slot jackpot win possible at Nevada casino venues.
The lounge will also host eighteen tables offering a mix of games, including blackjack, commission-free Tiger Baccarat, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and craps. There’s also the interesting Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables, a poker table with a special side bet linked to the resort’s Millionaire Progressive.
This side bet has a track record of creating millionaires, with eleven players hitting the jackpot since its introduction.
Evoking Luxury Lifestyles
As well as the new games, the Venetian’s latest casino gaming space will also have extra cashier spots, a private casino host exclusively catering to the room’s patrons and a cocktail bar with bar-top machines.
The bar will be staffed by the resort’s head mixologist, serving up cocktails from a menu exclusive to the new lounge. To fit with the resort’s Italian theme, including attractions such as the famous gondolas, the drinks will have a luxury European theme.
That means “hand-crafted recipes that evoke modern-day luxury Italian lifestyle and embody the essence of the surroundings in which they are served,” according to a press release.
The new high-limit gaming lounge is part of The Venetian’s broader vision for the future. The resort is currently undergoing a massive transformation with a $1 billion redevelopment program.
The expansion has already seen a new addition to the catalogue of Nevada retail sportsbooks. Last month, the Venetian debuted a 12,000-foot Yahoo! Sportsbook, powered by British operator William Hill.
However, one luxury perk that was once standard at Las Vegas Strip casinos may have been axed to help finance the upgrades. Earlier in 2023, The Venetian ended its free parking policy for all guests, joining various major Las Vegas operators like MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment in dropping the practice.
High limit players at the new luxury lounge, however, will probably still be in for comped valet or self- parking via the Resort’s “Grazie Rewards” program.
